What is heart-centered coaching?

Heart-centered coaching is an approach that focuses on connecting with your inner self, values, and intuition to create meaningful and sustainable changes in your life.

It emphasizes compassion, authenticity, and alignment with your heart’s desires.

In my practice, I sincerely believe that no lasting change or healing can be found far from Allah ﷻ. This quote quite accurately captures my faith in how closely interlinked our mental health and spirituality are:

Truly in the heart there is a void that can not be removed except with the company of Allah. And in it there is a sadness that can not be removed except with the happiness of knowing Allah and being true to Him. And in it there is an emptiness that can not be filled except with love for Him and by turning to Him and always remembering Him. And if a person were given all of the world and what is in it, it would not fill this emptiness.

What is your coaching practice based on?

My coaching practice is based on a holistic approach that integrates mental health and spiritual wellness. I draw upon evidence-based therapeutic techniques, Islamic principles, and spiritual practices to support Muslim women in their journey towards happiness, confidence, and a deeper connection with God.

→ How do you know when it’s the right time to seek help for your mental health issues?

While the specifics can vary, usually these are some good signs that indicate deeper underlying issues which need to be worked on in a professional, nonjudgmental 1-1 setting:

  1. When you’ve tried all the self-help techniques you can access and they haven’t helped you fully understand or resolve the issues you’re dealing with.
  2. When your destructive thoughts, feelings, and behavior patterns are interfering with your ability to be successful in the important areas of your life.
  3. When you’re suffering in your relationship with yourself and your family, your studies and/or your career. 
  4. When you feel distant, lost, and tired all the time without knowing exactly why.
  5. When you’re unable to overcome the trauma you’ve suffered from abusive relationships in the past and the cycle of abuse keeps repeating into the present.
  6. When you have frequent anger outbursts and mood swings.
  7. When you struggle with controlling your impulses. 
  8. When you’re frustrated with yourself, the people around you, and life in general all. the. time.
